DocuNest was designed from the start to respect your privacy. Here's how.
No files are sent online
All processing (editing, merging, compressing, annotating, signing...) is executed locally on your computer. Your files do not pass through any server.
No personal data collected
The application collects no personal information: no account, no tracking cookies, no telemetry.
No internet connection required
The application works completely offline. No internet connection is needed to use the tools.
Local storage only
Preferences (favorites, panel sizes) are stored in the application's localStorage, on your machine only, and kept until they are deleted (uninstall or data wipe).
Orders and contact
During a license purchase, the order is processed by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller acting as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy processes the email address and billing data required for the transaction and to issue the invoice. For any question about an order or your data: contact@docunest.app.
Data controller
The processing described on this page is carried out under the responsibility of Lorris Crappier (DocuNest project), reachable at contact@docunest.app for any question about your personal data.
Service providers
Two providers may be involved: Cloudflare (hosting of the docunest.app site, with short-lived technical connection logs) and Lemon Squeezy (license payment and invoicing). Your documents, however, never pass through a server: all file processing stays on your computer.
Retention periods
Emails sent to contact@docunest.app are kept while the request is being handled, then deleted at the latest 12 months after the last exchange. Order data (email, billing) is kept by Lemon Squeezy in its capacity as merchant of record, in accordance with its accounting and tax obligations (10 years for invoices). Preferences stored in the localStorage are kept until you delete them.
Transfers outside the European Union
Cloudflare and Lemon Squeezy are established in the United States. The limited data mentioned above (technical logs, payment data) may therefore be transferred outside the European Union, under appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Your documents are never transferred: they stay on your computer.
Your rights
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your personal data, as well as the right to give instructions on their fate after your death. To exercise them: contact@docunest.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr), or with your national data protection authority.
